American Board of Professional Counselors

Limited Grandfather Period

Become a Board Certified Professional Counselor

You entered this field in order to help people.  When was the last time that an organization came along to provide any real help to you?

The mission of the American Board of Professional Counselors (ABPC) is to be the nation's leading advocate for Counselors.  ABPC will chapion Counselors' right to practice.  We will work with you to protect your right to practice, increase parity for your profession, and provide you with the recognition that you so richly deserve.

Becoming a Board Certified Professional Counselor will provide you with resources, low or no cost continuing education opportunities, and a forum to network with your fellow professional counselors.

CEU's required to keep your professional license valid may be earned in the comfort of your own office via our quarterly peer-reviewed publication, Annals of the American Psychotherapy Association and online courses.  You may also earn these at our National Conference.

By becoming a Board Certified Professional Counselor, you become a member of a community of counselors dedicated to working together not only to better serve your clients, but also to support each other in your own professional development.
