Preparations are underway for the American Psychotherapy Association’s 6th Annual National Conference. The American Psychotherapy Association wants you to participate in the growth and elevation of the psychotherapy profession. As part of this year’s conference, APA invites presentations which:

Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
Guidelines for Abstract Submission Abstracts: Should be sent either via e-mail or mailed on a 3.5” diskette. Diskettes should be labeled with your name and title of abstract. Must be 300 words or less in length. Abstracts should be outline of the presentation only. Formatted in a text-only format such as Microsoft Word. Limited to one abstract per diskette or download.
Need to Include with Abstract: Format - Please note if the in the abstract if the format will be Workshop or Lecture. Title - Please clearly note the title of the presentation. Time - Please specify the hour(s) desired for your presentation: 1 hour, 2 hour, or 3 hours, (or more) Audience - Please note target audience and educational level (introductory, intermediate or advanced) Learning Objectives - Must include 4-5 learning objectives for the participant. Contact information - Please include your name, daytime phone #, fax #, and email address with the abstract. If more than one presenter – Please include contact information for all presenters |

We will not accept:
Deadline for All Submissions: We must receive all diskette, e-mail and mailed submissions no later than 5 p.m. CST, Wednesday, January 15, 2025. All abstracts submitted will be entered into a drawing for a free registration to the 2025 conference. All hard copy mailed submissions are charged a $50 administrative fee, which must be mailed with the abstract. Only checks and credit card payments are accepted. For credit card payments, account number and expiration date must be sent along with the abstract. Checks should be made out to: APA Conference. |

Abstract Withdrawal: If you wish to withdraw your abstract after submission, written notification via e-mail, fax or letter, is required. Notification should include abstract title and name of authors, phone and e-mail, and should be received by Friday, February 28, 2025 to ensure withdrawal. Statement of Liability: Abstracts submitted assign all rights, titles and interests, to the Association. Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permission and clearance for all research prior to submission. The Association assumes no liability or responsibility for any material that is submitted. Confirmation: All contributors will receive a confirmation of acceptance or non-acceptance by March 3, 2025. A committee made up of Board members will use universal review criteria to evaluate abstracts. Notifications will be sent to the contact author only through mail, e-mail, or fax. If abstract is accepted, presenters will be sent a packet asking to provide a current resume, affiliations, disclosure, handouts, and audio-visual requirements for chosen format.
